Makeup Look #14: Valentine’s Day in Victoria’s Secret Glow

IMG_6985

Happy Valentine’s Day, ladies! Im sharing a pretty but quick look inspired by the Victoria’s Secret Angels’ glow. I made sure my skin is not tired but using Beyond The Real’s Hyaluronic Mask the night before so my face is very moisturized and then I used the Beauty Diary’s Vitamin-C Brightening Mask for that extra boost! Preparing the skin is extremely important so you can apply lesser makeup and letting youre skin breathe. So anyways, I don’t want to keep you all waiting, so lets jump into it!

NARS’ And God Created The Woman Palette & Ita Kabuki Brush

IMG_4755.JPG
It has been a while since my lasts post! Ive been very busy with work and getting off from being poorly lately so before everything else goes cray cray again because Christmas is around the corner, I want to share this quick review with you all.

If you follow me in Facebook or Instagram, you would know that im engaged! 😊 So, as part of my addition for my wedding day makeup, ive decided to get “And God Created The Woman” palette from Nars.

The set includes:
6-well Eyeshadow palette: Bellisima II, Kalahari I, Night Clubbing
Alahambra I, Galapagos, Coconut Grove
Mini Pro-Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base
Travel size Wide Contour Brush #43

Priced at $80 in Sephora Singapore, it is an exclusive palette when they launched for the makeup shopping heaven. This palette was released last 2013, and rereleased again this 2014 due to its success and being very covetable.

I havent really thought of what kind of look ill be doing for my wedding, so that would be a surprise for you all!

And finally, I got my hands on the Ita Kabuki brush! I asked my fiancΓ© to pick this up from Nars in Tokyo. It was Β₯6500 which is NOT a cheap brush! Lol. But, my journey for having the best contoured cheeks should come to an end with this! Haha. Im planning to use this with my Chanel Soleil de Tan bronzer and a little bit of The Balm Bahama Mama which i just purchased again yesterday cause im already hitting the pan with the one I have!

March 2014 Favorites!

20140324-215839.jpg

Its almost the end of March! And i just thought maybe i should do a March favorites post of the makeup products ive been loving a lot this month!

First of is the Seventeen 17 Solo Eyeshadow in Funfair which is a pretty peach pink with gold glitter that leans more on the pink side. I got this one last December and I havent properly worn them just this month. Get it here.

Next is still on the peachy pink glitter combo, Topshop Blusher in Do It Again, it was recently released here in Singapore and i just had to pick it up when i saw it. It is a good Nars Orgams blusher dupe (ill do a proper review on this one!) that is just perfect for summer! Get it here.

Rimmel London ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige is a nice beige metallic shade that is good for a quick eyeshadow base or highlighter or brightening tightliner. Get it here.

Seventeen 17 Va Va Voom Mascara in Blackest Black is one of my first discoveries of this brand when i bought it last year. I super love the packaging! It comes in a big fat wand that creates length on the few coats and amps up the lashes as you coat some more. Just be careful when you layer it, or else itll get too thick! Get it here.

Chanel Levres Scintillantes in 85 Muscat is a lovely champagne colored lip gloss that i got as gift from my friend, Jasmine. Its one of the few lip glosses that i learned to love cause its not really super sticky, keeps my lips hydrated and the color is just perfect for the pretty girl look or sexy siren in smokey eyes. Im not sure if this is still available, but for sure Chanel made something similar to it. Amazon seller here.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in #5 Ole Flamingo is what i have been raving about on my previous blog. Definitely should try out this shade cause its absolutely stunning and the pigmentation is just amazing! Join the waiting list!

Seventeen 17 Skin Wow Primer is another product that i have made a review with and just enjoying it this season. I have been experimenting on it by mixing it with my foundation for a brightening glow and so far i like it! Get it here.

Catrice Limited Edition Eve in Bloom Loose Moisturizing Highlighter in C01 Bloomynous is certainly not the least among all my favorites! Its a beautiful, finely milled loose light pink power with silver tiny glitter that is a good final touch for that added “glow from within” beauty. I love, love, love this one! And it was very cheap! Costs only S$10.90 from Guardian but unfortunately they dont have this anymore since it was part of their previous collection. See it here

Finally, Jessica Custom Nail Color in 522 Bikini Blue is my current go to Spring Summer nail color that ive been wearing a lot lately. I got it from a nail polish shop in Hong Kong. Amazon seller here.

That’s all! Well i hope you guys would try some of it and let me know how you like/hate them.

love,
Louise

Makeup Look #3: My Failproof Everyday Look

20140223-224133.jpg

I love, love, love flattering nude makeup looks cause simply its so easy to do and just a little more on the eyes or lips it completely transforms the daytime look to nightout ready! Basically, this is my everyday look for work or date makeup wear with my love.

It just doesnt focus on the eyes that just opens up your beautiful eye color and keeps it feminine, but how the skin looks natural when i wear it during the day or i go a bit more of a medium-full coverage if i would have a long day to night out.

Hope you guys ❀️ it! Let me know!

love,
Louise

Bourjois Cream & Little Round Pot Blushers

20140202-180627.jpg

20140202-180635.jpg

Its been a while since i have purchased Bourjois products while i was in England last year. Among them are the cream and pot blushers to which Bourjois got really popular of. The cream plusher in No.2 Healthy Glow is an orangey-peach color that adds a healthy color on my skin. It worked well with both climates in England (cold and windy) and Singapore (hot & dry). Its my purse’s mainstay. Then the pretty little round pot blushers that are so beautiful! They look like and feel like the Chanel powder blushers but are inexpensive but oh-so gorgeous. Lol. The texture is light and very finely-milled and feels great on my skin. Although they dont stay on so long, and needs reapplication, i think they are worth the price s$21.50-23.00. I got the popular Rose Frisson (frosted rose) which is a pretty pink blush that compliments fair-medium complexion and rose coupe de foudre which is a soft peach with sparkles that is flattering for a pretty look. It was compared by Goss makeup artist from Youtube with the Chanel blusher and i have to say, theyre very similar. It has this very sanitized smell that i dont really like so much but i dont really mind cause the smell fades away once applied.

I love these blushers and are definitely worth to buy!

Ps! Bourjois owns the Chanel cosmetics! πŸ˜‰ get them here!

love,
Louise
