Sasa Haul!

Its almost 3 months since my last post and I apologise for that! I have soooo caught up with work and arranging my papers for my migration. So just a quick update on my life lately, Im finally moving to UK this May and joining my husband for a fresh new start of our married life. Im so so so excited about this and weve gone through so much that we truly deserve to be together!

So since im moving there for good, that means that I would be missing a lot of beauty products from Asia! So while I was in Macau last week, ive picked up a few bits and bobs in Sasa. If you havent been to Hongkong, Macau, China or Singapore, then you surely wont know what it is! Sasa is a beauty store thats sells different kinds of skin care, makeup and basically anything beauty from different brands and countries all over the world! I love going there specially in Macau/Hongkong since it far cheaper than getting it in Singapore.

Sasa is my beauty heaven when im in Macau/Hongkong in the after hours of my business trips. I cant help but swing by and find loads and loads of beauty products that ive been dying to get my hands on and score massive bargain deals!

Anyways, on to the haul! As usual, I will pick up a mask brand from Korea called Beyond the Real they have different kinds of masks that can cover every single need you have! it all breaks down to 3 kinds: Moisturizing, Brightening (whitening) and Firming. I normally would get Moisturizing: Hyaluronic Acid but this time Brightening: Multivitamin and Adlay also managed to hope into my basket! In a bargain price of 5 for MOP50 and the quality of these masks; it is just such a great deal! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! Ive been stocking a LOT of masks since its pretty hard to get them in England. I also picked up another popular mask from Taiwan called My Beauty Diary in Rose Whitening, Mexico Cactus and Lemon Vitamin C which I all adore! It costs MOP54/ piece and 3 for MOP154. (Not in the photo)

From Korea, i picked up Touch In Sol’s Feel Like Honeymoon Skin Base which is honey textured moisturizing primer that has gold particles. I love this one and makes my skin supple just before i put on my foundation. Discounted price at MOP63.20 from 139.

Ah and on to my main mission: Japanese Mascaras and Eyeliner! Ive spotted both Fairydrops Scandalqueen Platinum and Quattro Mascara. Both has the cutest packaging and weirdest wands ive ever seen that comes in 3 – 4 boobles and looks like it would never work but oh dear Lord, theyre amazing!!! I love it so much that I didnt hesitate to buy 2 after trying it! Platinum is waterproof, curls and volumizing with 3 bobbles while Quattro has 4 bobbles which is lengthening and volumizing. to be very honest, ill be buying a few more on my next visit before I leave for UK! its thats good! plus it only cost MOP 110 – 120 which is still so much cheaper than getting it from Culbeauty at GBP18.50! And unfortunately, both mascaras are not available in Singapore.

Last but not the least is K-palette 1 day tattoo eyeliner pen. Discounted price at MOP98, this eyeliner is the bomb! Long lasting, jetblack and easy application – nailed it all! Never missed out on getting this when you are in Asia! You can get this in Sasa Singapore but twice the price.

Well thats it for now! Ive been stocking up so much that im worried with my check-in luggage! lol.

Til the next post!

love,
Louise

Makeup Look #14: Valentine’s Day in Victoria’s Secret Glow

IMG_6985

Happy Valentine’s Day, ladies! Im sharing a pretty but quick look inspired by the Victoria’s Secret Angels’ glow. I made sure my skin is not tired but using Beyond The Real’s Hyaluronic Mask the night before so my face is very moisturized and then I used the Beauty Diary’s Vitamin-C Brightening Mask for that extra boost! Preparing the skin is extremely important so you can apply lesser makeup and letting youre skin breathe. So anyways, I don’t want to keep you all waiting, so lets jump into it!

Morning Skin Care Routine

Hello, everyone! I know its almost 2 months late but better late than never, so “happy new year!”. Ive been extremely busy with my life and work that I barely had anytime to do any post at all!

“It all starts with a great base (skin)”, that is my answer to all people who asks me how do I do my makeup so well. I remember a friend of mine has asked me whats my skin care routine cause she really liked how my makeup turns out. My skin was fairly good even before I started doing an actual skin care routine. But the more I get into makeup, the more I realized that I need my skin to be at its best before I even do anything with it! Makeup should only enhance your features but not cover your actual beauty.

So here I am sharing my morning routine!

I start my morning my cleaning my face with Cetaphil (not in the picture, because I have the biggest size available in store!) while I shower. I love Cetaphil and this non-scented soaps for my face is perfect for my skin.

Then afterwards, I use <a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/NUXE-Lotion-Tonique-Douce-Gentle-Toning-Lotion-200ml" title="Nuxe Lotion Tonique Douce” target=”_blank”>Nuxe Lotion Tonique Douce which is a non-sticky, lightly colored toner with rose petals. Im not the biggest fan of rose-smell but I do like this one. I decided to get this when I was in Sasa, Macau last November during one of my business trips. It was in a discounted price of £8, and seems to be very popular. Its nice and gentle and catered to normal-dry sensitive skin. Im a combination-sensitive skin, but I do feel that this is doing well for my skin.

While I let it dry, I glide on the ever so popular Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm that feels such a treat! It comes in a light yellow, honey scented/tasting cream thats in a small glass pot. its non-sticky, its actually matte and perfect for a lipstick base. I recommend this French superstar.

On to my fave part, I massage my face with my new found moisturizer: True Hydration 24hr from Good Skin Labs. Its so hydrating that I could still feel it on my skin even after I shower the following day!

So on to eyes, I gently pat the Caudelie SOS Morning Eye Rescue which is good for depuffing tired eyes. Im still on the quest for finding the best dark under-eye lightening cream so im using this for now.

Last but not the least, when im in the mood or I need some extra boost, I dab Filorga Time Filler Absolute Anti-wrinkle cream which is a thick tripeptide that helps relaxes my skin when it needs it.

And thats it! Im all set to do my makeup for the day! 🙂

keep tuned in for my night time skin care routine coming in my next post!

love,
Louise

NARS’ And God Created The Woman Palette & Ita Kabuki Brush

IMG_4755.JPG
It has been a while since my lasts post! Ive been very busy with work and getting off from being poorly lately so before everything else goes cray cray again because Christmas is around the corner, I want to share this quick review with you all.

If you follow me in Facebook or Instagram, you would know that im engaged! 😊 So, as part of my addition for my wedding day makeup, ive decided to get “And God Created The Woman” palette from Nars.

The set includes:
6-well Eyeshadow palette: Bellisima II, Kalahari I, Night Clubbing
Alahambra I, Galapagos, Coconut Grove
Mini Pro-Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base
Travel size Wide Contour Brush #43

Priced at $80 in Sephora Singapore, it is an exclusive palette when they launched for the makeup shopping heaven. This palette was released last 2013, and rereleased again this 2014 due to its success and being very covetable.

I havent really thought of what kind of look ill be doing for my wedding, so that would be a surprise for you all!

And finally, I got my hands on the Ita Kabuki brush! I asked my fiancé to pick this up from Nars in Tokyo. It was ¥6500 which is NOT a cheap brush! Lol. But, my journey for having the best contoured cheeks should come to an end with this! Haha. Im planning to use this with my Chanel Soleil de Tan bronzer and a little bit of The Balm Bahama Mama which i just purchased again yesterday cause im already hitting the pan with the one I have!

Shu Some Love

IMG_4686.JPG

On one of my recent hauls, i’ve managed to get my hands on some Shu Uemura products from Vie Beauty sale. Of course, I did hope that I can get the eyelash curler since I have been in love with this curler for many years. But unfortunately, there was none although I did get some other things I can try.

Shu Uemura Face Architect Smooth Fit Fluid Foundation in 565 Medium Light Sand
Yes, another liquid foundation! To be honest, I havent opened this one yet since I just opened my Guerlain Parure Gold foundation… And I have 6 bottles in rotation. I’ll definitely let you all know how this one works!

Shu Uemura Pressed Eye Shadow in Medium Brown, Soft Gold, Dark Green and Creamy Eye shadow in Medium Olive
These are really good shadows, whether its pressed or cream. I cant wait to put them all together in a z palette and show you all. They are pigmented and true to the color in pan. I do recommend these. All colors are great for Fall Winter!

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited in 911
Very creamy and has a touch of gloss. I do like but I find the color too nude. It would be great to match with a smokey eye look.

Shu Uemura False Eye Lashes in 07 Partial Flare
Ive been prepping a small wedding makeup set for myself, so this one is an optional part of it. I like that theyre not too “single” like normal lashes which would be easy for me to use!

Trying any new products lately?

love,
Louise

Glowing in Gold with Guerlain

IMG_4550.JPG

IMG_4551.JPG

Recently, Luxasia had their annual mega bazaar sale nearby my office that I couldnt resist but to have a nosey. There were loads of perfume on sale and a bit of skincare but what really and will always get my attention was their small section for makeup which isnt hard to spot because all ladies are flocking and I dont want to exaggerate but were almost gonna eat other just to score a few good deals. So being small that I am, I managed to squeeze my way in and grabbed the stuff that I want to get and in 10 minutes I found myself queueing to pay. Lol.

Here’s all what I got:

Guerlain Parure Gold Rejuvenating Gold Radiance Foundation in Beige Naturel 03

After reading a few other reviews, I found out that this foundation is the most expensive one I have ever come across with a price of £85. OMG. I wouldnt buy it on regular price even though it as gold particles in it that seriously makes my skin look so good and glowy. You know that lit from within gorgeousness that can boost your confidence. It smells good and feels great on skin, never heavy. It has spf15 although the shades are quite tricky because it is generally a shade darker from the normal shade colors we know. I do recommend this but as long as youre willing to spend!

Guerlain Parure De Lumiere Light-Diffusing Foundation Moisture & Comfort in Ambre Clair 32

This is such a luxurious product not just by the way it looks but the way it feels. I was able to try it but I havent opened this one yet but I will soon. It comes in a heavy glass pot cause its a cream with a spatula. I think this shade is light for me but I surely will get away with it by mixing a dark foundation or using a bronzing powder to set on top.

Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Tailor-made Bronzing Powder in 00 Nude

Such a pretty, pretty bronzer that I couldnt say no! I dont want to touch cause its so pretty! But, eventually I resisted and used it! it has 4 shades in it so you can customized your bronzer shade by just swirling your brush on it. Custom-made bronze goddess, I say.

Guerlain Ombre Eclat I Couleur Eyeshadow in 183 L’instant D’une Caresse

Whatever that means, Im sure it makes me feel like its a shade thats just as pretty as you are naked. Its a naked muted grey-nude that is pretty shimmer. Just so gorgeous!

Guerlain The Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Ideal 01

Not my most favorite among the bunch but ill still give it a few more try. Its an eyebrow pencil with a brush end and sharpener thats included in box. Feels nice and luxurious.

Guerlain Fard Metal Iridiscent Eyeshadow in 01 Cuirve Ora

This is my favorite amongst them all! Its just a gorgeous warm rose gold color loose eyeshadow thats so pigmented and easy to use. Perfect for Fall Winter!

Guerlain Khol Me Kajal The Original Creamy Eyeliner in 01 Noir Volcanique

This is a pure black eyeliner that is so easy to work with. I recommend this and even though its pricey, im sure you wont be disappointed. A very good staple classic.

Guerlain Rouge Exceptional Complete Lip Colour in 15 Galaine

This is the perfect shade of my lips.
I cant believe I found the exact color of my lips in a bullet. So creamy and moisturizing that it goes perfectly with Nyx lipliner in Nude Pink. My current lethal nude combination.

I love almost all of what I got! Its so gorgeous and luxurious at the same time. Here, ive used the Parure Gold Foundation, Lipstick, Eyeliner, Eyebrow Pencil, Eyeshadows and Bronzer.

Have you tried anything from Guerlain?

Beauty Haul Bits & Pieces

Not everyone notices, or its just me, but its such a pain to put mascara on my bottom lashes. Theyre pretty short so I have to be extremely careful when I use my Bourjois 1-Seconde mascara. So Ive decided to try the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in Black that to my surprise it works so well with me that I got two! Lol. It comes in a good no flake off formula distributed by a super cute tiny little brush. Priced at $32 in Sephora. And of course, I didnt forget to also grab the Chubby Stick in Graped Up which is a brownish pink since I wanna keep my lips moisturized but still have a bit of dark color for the Fall season.

IMG_3830.JPG

IMG_3829.JPG<

Aaaaaand since im almost done with my beloved Bourjois mascara, I also picked up the Eyeko Skinny brush mascara which to be honest, I havent opened yet! Lol. Ive tried it in Sephora and I loved it! I think it would be so beneficial to use just before you put on your falsies cause it just separates your lashes and lengthens them. Priced at $25 in Sephora.

Still loving Bourjois that I also had to pick up the Healthy Mix Foundation in 54 Beige because its just so good and wearable plus its almost as good as Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation! Ive placed it side by side with my Nyx HD foundation in this picture. You can get it from Boots in Uk or Asos.com/watson’s/sasa in Singapore.

IMG_3104.JPG

IMG_3106.JPG

Jumping to break the Fall vibe for a bit is the Lancome Rouge Blush in Subtil which is a lovely combination of light pink, fuchsia, a light beige shimmer highlighter and a small beige contour powder all in a pan! I love swirling my brush on it to get a lovely pretty shade for my cheeks! Priced at $60 in Vie Beauty.

Last but not the least is the Soap & Glory 21 Day Overhaul Cream which I had to test out again because I unfortunately missed a couple of days. It has this rule of using it for 21 days straight and breaking for a week (i couldnt remember! Sorry!) and reusing it again. Its a thick moisturizer/cream that feels pretty heavy on my face during the day, so I prefer using it at night. You can get it Sephora/ Boots UK.

Im just so Fall-obsessed! Whats your latest Fall makeup pick?

NYX HD & Fall Picks

IMG_3072.JPG

IMG_3070.JPG

So on a cheaper side and still part of my birthday haul, I got some stuff from Nyx. We all know Nyx being affordable with good quality and very updated in their collections. Ive decided to pick up their HD range which includes the HD foundation, concealer and the photo-loving primer. I have to be completely honest, I hate the smell of the primer. It feels like im smearing gasoline oil on my face but then the scent disappears and seems to work okay. The quality is good but they have to frigging fix that awful scent! I got it for $15.90. Then I thought it should work well with the HD foundation, which again I hate the awful smell. This time, it smells like plastic and even the coverage is good and pictures really well, the scent just puts me off terribly. Its almost 70% as good as MUFE HD foundation but it only lasts for 8 hours. Priced at $15.90 as well. But amongst them all, I found the HD concealer such a great buy. Coverage, check! Color, check! Great price, check! I highly-recommend this! Its easy to blend and good for under eye and spot cover. Priced at $15.90. Its as good as Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer but only 25% like MUFE full cover concealer. A lot of people says that its as good as Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer which I still have to find out!

IMG_3074.JPG

IMG_4396.JPG

Since Fall is already here, I got the blush in Mauve and lipliner in Auburn to match my dark lip looks while the shade Nude Pink for dark smokey eyes. Both products are great and are cheap! Both priced at $7.90. And I accidentally picked up a retractable lipliner in the shade Sand Beige which is so good for the 90s look ala Kylie Jenner which I used in the picture above!

That’s all folks! Are you also buying products that suits the Fall season?

Louise

Makeup Look #13 : Fall Winter 2014 Dark Lips

IMG_2867-0.JPG

So off from my beauty haul reviews, i’m presenting to you all my first Fall Winter look for this year -dark lips. I have always loved the ox blood, deep burgundy/bordeaux color thats in the runways for FW this year. I do recommend to go by level of darkeness before you completely decide which level you should go for. Here’s a few products I did review and I recommend that you should try:

 • NYX lip liner in Auburn/ Cabernet – deep berry red but is subtle
 • Barry M Moisturizing Lip Paint in Black Cherry 106 – dark berry red in semi glossy finish
 • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry – very dark purple-ish red in semi glossy finish
 • MAC Pro Lipstick Matte in Sin – deep burgundy red/ dark blue red in matte finish

I have the first three lip products and im still in search for MAC Sin because blue under tones works best for me in red lipsticks ( I do have the Russian Red which im so in love with). But one thing to take note is to prep your lips, moisturize them! Because dark lip colors will drain your lips and having flaky lips dont look so nice when youre wearing dark lipsticks. Also, do apply a lipliner all over, then fill in your lips before your lipstick so it stays longer and so it wont leak around your mouth!

IMG_2869-0.JPG

IMG_2868.JPG

This is such an easy look for a night out and will definitely change your regular smokey eyes makeup for going out. Let me know if you guys like it, cause I definitely have been sporting this look for quite a few times now!

love,

Louise

Front Cover New Style Queen Makeup Set

IMG_3310.JPG
I always used to think buying makeup sets is not my fave thing to do but until I got this Front Cover Style Queen Makeup Set, I actually took back the idea.

IMG_3311.JPG

This kit is consist of the following:

 • 7 baked shimmer mini dome eyeshadows – vanilla ice (ivory), peanut (light pink), cumin (light beige coral),sandstone (light gold), brunette (auburn),grey grey, amber green (light emerald green)
 • 6 full size round matte eyeshadows – peach, garcie grey, jenny wren, brown cork, burnt cork, bodstock black
 • 6 sheer lip glosses – langoustine, Icy pink, singed pink, peru, red moon, brickwall
 • 2 cheek domes (blush/highlighter) – gold-orange-pink, light pink-light yellow-light blue
 • 2 pressed pigments- saddle brown, coal hoal
 • 1 mascara
 • 1 shadowline liquid eyeliner – transforms eyeshadow into eyeliner
 • 1 black eyeliner with smudger
 • Cheek Brush
 • Fluff + Buff Brush
 • Rounded Shader Eye Brush
 • Point + Eye Brush
 • Mini Blender Eye Brush
 • Retractable Lip Brush
 • Pencil Sharpener
 • Mini Lash Curler

You do get a lot with this kit plus almost all of it is great. I love the eyeshadows, cheek domes, shadowline, pressed pigments and the brushes. Although the pigmentation of the lipglosses are not amazing. They seem to be more like a very light lip gloss. Id rather use them as cheek stains.

Overall, its good but I wont buy them on regular price of £35., I only got mine for £15. Unfortunately, you cant get it anymore but do watch out for other kits that Front Cover does.
